Responsible for cultivating relationships and leading project teams for University clients

Nations Group has an immediate opening for a Project Executive–Advisory Services to assist in leading strategy, management and delivery. Advisory Services is an essential, integral part of our predevelopment activities – this position focuses primarily on acting as an account director to manage the client relationship and set athletic facilities projects on a defined and realistic path that will meet client goals. Our Advisory Services team provides:

  • Current facility assessments, analyses and fact-based recommendations
  • Revenue generation strategies and deal negotiation guidance
  • Market, industry and competitive data knowledge and application
  • Synergy and operational efficiencies identification and potential impact
  • Programming, design and construction cost evaluations and management
  • Alternative project finance and delivery options
  • Project budget creation and management

The Nations Group Project Executive-Advisory Services is ultimately responsible for cultivating relationships, leading project teams and delivering advisory services for our University clients that are considering building or renovating athletic facilities. 

Seven to 10 years of closely related experience, self-motivation, reliability and demonstrated results are vital to this position’s success. Nations Group is headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona – candidates must live within the metro-Phoenix area or be willing to relocate within a reasonable timeframe.


  • In-depth, current knowledge base surrounding construction project delivery and finance
  • Specific expertise in operating, building and/or financing athletics facilities
  • Experience in Public Private Partnerships (recommended)
  • Ability to provide clear, objective recommendations and actionable, vetted strategies
  • Cross-functional knowledge and skills, with the aptitude to work seamlessly with a variety of departments and stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Proven relationship management skills, such as identifying, building and growing relationships with key decision makers at various levels
  • Exceptional proficiency in diplomatically leading a diverse team of professionals in achieving common goals, including but not limited to:

                              Plan creation

                              Schedule and meeting management

                              Communication coordination and delivery

                              Accountability regarding deliverables

  • Ability to successfully and productively work both autonomously and as part of an internal team
  • Attention to detail and organization, including calendar/time management and reporting/data management
  • Above-average competence in standard workplace software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), remote conferencing applications, project management programs and expense tracking and submission
  • BA/BS degree, or equivalent in education and experience

A standard work week is Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Evening and weekend work will be required as job duties demand, so schedule adaptability/flexibility outside of regular company hours is necessary. Travel is expected and required, including overnight. The position offers full medical/dental benefits, 401(k), PTO and a business casual office environment located on the Waterfront in Old Town Scottsdale, Arizona.
