The Project Manager is responsible for day-to-day construction and development project management activities forassigned projects. This position will report to the Project Director.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be local or willing to relocate to State College, PA
- Provide direction, assistance, and support on project management activities and best practices
- Facilitate, direct, and manage, as necessary, project team members and 3rd party consultants
- Manage contract personnel, including (but not limited to) project architects, engineers, general contractors,sub-contractors, sign contractors, governmental personnel and inspectors and other stakeholders
- Facilitate and manage communication with clients, company executives, and other project staff
- Manage project record documents, including budgets, project plans, schedules, permits, as-built drawings, and project closeout documents and certifications
- Work with project accountant to establish, maintain, and update the definitive project budget
- Assist in the negotiation and preparation of all necessary professional service contracts required for the project
- Consistently manage contract performance compliance
- Assist in entitlement and governmental approval processes
- Manage the preparation of project documents, including conceptual plans, design development plans, construction documents, grading and drainage plans, utility plans, paving plans, and landscape plans
- Manage the day-to-day construction activities for assigned projects including grading and drainage, site, off-site,utility, shell building, interior finishes, landscape, and furniture, fixture, and equipment (FF&E) tasks
- Monitor and manage all on-site construction.
- Ensure consistent and accurate project schedules, budgets, documents, and contract compliance
- Assist in managing the processing and review of contractor RFIs, project submittals, PCOs, and COs for compliance with project budgets and conformance to contract documents
- Facilitate, track and report on project communications and meetings to ensure coordination of project tasks and responsibilities
- Manage the identification of, solicitation for, and purchasing of FF&E as required or as determined by the projectdocuments, including the procurement and managing of 3rd party FF&E vendor(s) and installer(s)
- Assist in the overall completion and closeout of the project
- Other duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE:
- Three (3) to ten (10) years in a project manager role with a general contractor or architect
- Sports experience preferred
- Owner’s representation experience a plus
- Experience with sports projects in excess of $100 million a plus
- Must be local or relocate to State College, PA
- Team-oriented mindset, with the ability to work both autonomously and within a group
- Construction experience is required
- Commercial experience and a degree in Construction Management or a similar field is highly preferred
- Must be proficient in Bluebeam/Adobe and Microsoft Office.
