Mentoring of NG Project Staff
Mentor Nations Group project management staff. Provide direction, assistance and support on project management activities and best practices to assist in personal and professional growth of project management team.
Management of Project Team
Facilitate, direct and manage, as necessary, project team members and 3rd party consultants. Manage contract personnel, including (but not limited to) project architects, engineers, general contractors, sub-contractors, sign contractors, governmental personnel and inspectors and other stakeholders.
Oversee and direct communication with clients, company executives, and project staff. Manage project record documents, including budgets, project plans, schedules, permits, as-built drawings, and project closeout documents and certifications. Work with project accountant to establish, maintain, and update the definitive project budget.
Direct the negotiation and preparation of all necessary professional service contracts required for the project. Oversee and consistently manage contract performance compliance.
Direct and oversee entitlement and governmental approval processes. Manage and oversee the preparation of project documents, including conceptual plans, design development plans, construction documents, grading and drainage plans, utility plans, paving plans and landscape plans.
Project Management Services
Manage the day-to-day construction activities for assigned projects including grading and drainage, site, off-site, utility, shell building, interior finishes, landscape, and furniture, fixture and equipment tasks. Direct responsibility for on-site construction and coordination activities requiring weekly site visits at minimum. Ensure consistent and accurate project schedules, budgets, documents, and contract compliance. Oversee the processing and review of contractor RFIs, project submittals, PCOs, and COs for compliance with project budgets and conformance to contract documents. Facilitate, track and report on project communications and meetings to ensure coordination of project tasks and responsibilities.
Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment
Manage the identification of, solicitation for and purchasing of furniture, fixtures, and equipment as required or as determined by the project documents, including the procurement and managing of 3rd party FF&E vendor(s) and installer(s).
Project Closeout and Turnover
Responsible for the overall completion and closeout of the project. Other duties as assigned.
Construction experience is required. Commercial experience and a degree in Construction Management or a similar field is highly preferred.
