Business Development - College & University Market

Responsible for initiating, cultivating and growing strategic relationships


This position identifies and pursues viable new opportunities within the collegiate athletics market sector through a variety of outreach methods, provides market conditions and insight that can be leveraged for proposals and marketing materials, acts as the internal lead on coordinating information for presentations and RFP responses, and represents the company effectively and professionally in various settings.


  • Proven success in sales and business development, with a demonstrated understanding of the sales cycle and a forward-thinking mentality
  • Experience in the strategic and tactical planning process for sales and business development activities, including creative lead generation, touchpoint creation and follow-up through close
  • Skill in identifying and building relationships with key decision makers at various levels within an organization
  • Ability to quickly and thoroughly understand the company’s core competencies in order to clearly illustrate value to potential clients
  • Capability to leverage CRM software as an effective sales/business development tool
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organization, including calendar/schedule/time management and reporting/data management 
  • Excellent internal and external communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • High level of reliability, accountability, problem-solving and discretion
  • Strong desire to succeed, a positive attitude and self-motivation to achieve individual and company goals 
  • Solid understanding of and above average capability with Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Word and PowerPoint
  • BA/BS degree, or equivalent in education and experience

A standard work week is Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand, so schedule adaptability/flexibility outside of regular company hours is necessary. Travel is expected and required, including overnight. The position offers full medical/dental benefits, 401(k) and a business casual office environment located on the Waterfront in Old Town Scottsdale.
