PROJECT CONTROLS MANAGER

Based in Scottsdale, Arizona, Nations Group is a nationally recognized owners’ representative firm with a history of successful projects in collegiate athletics, K-12, arena/pro sports, and municipalities. The company has been the owner’s representative for approximately $2 billion in construction projects across the country. The Project Controls Manager is responsible for ensuring project controls and procedures are being implemented effectively across all projects. The Project Controls Manager will provide leadership, mentoring, and supervision on best practices.  This position will report to the Vice President of Operations.

The Project Manager is responsible for day-to-day construction and development project management activities forassigned projects. This position will report to the Vice President, Operations.

REQUIREMENTS: 

• Provide direction, assistance, and support on project management activities and best practices
• Review projects for compliance with project control procedures
• Provide assistance with pay application reviews and project accounting
• Provide assistance in change order review and procedures
• Review project documents for compliance with main contract
• Assist in contract reviews
• Review project documents for compliance with all vendor contracts
• Ensure proper procurement and execution of Owner procured vendors is completed timely and properly
• Assist in continuous improvement of project controls and procedures
• Assist project teams as needed
• Other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE:

• Fifteen (15) plus years as project manager, owner’s rep, or project controls position
• Sports construction/design experience preferred
• Owner’s representation or experience required
• Knowledge of scheduling and insurance preferred
• Position is based in Scottsdale, AZ.  Some travel to attend meetings as needed may be required
• Team-oriented mindset, with the ability to work both autonomously and within a group
• Construction/Construction CA experience is required
• Commercial experience and a degree in Construction Management or Architecture is preferred
• US Citizenship is required
